Study of the Jet Output Characteristics under Multi−Source Coupling

The challenges posed by elevated rock hardness, deficient drillability, excessive friction torque, and significant underpressure in extended−reach horizontal wells are the primary factors that contribute to low ROP (Rate of Penetration) limited reach during drilling operation. Reducing drag is one methods addressing aforementioned challenges. To augment pulse output characteristics oscillating jet bolster energy hydrodynamic impact load, we developed designed a multi−source oscillation speed−increasing tool coupled with blade rotation disturbance multi−order cavity self−excitation. We utilized fluid dynamics software model conduct numerical analysis on pulsed generator. Furthermore, constructed prototype subjected it testing. This paper examines dimensionless structural parameters pressure pulse−jet Specifically, used three quantities (cavity length ratios, diameter inner wall collision angle ratios) study this effect. findings indicate capable augmenting amplitude, frequency can be adjusted within range 5 Hz 15 Hz. During study, determined optimal achieved when ratio 0.8, 1.0, 1.5. These present novel approach for development downhole hydraulic tools.
